Seasonal Contest

During seasonal campaigns, there's an exciting team-based competition running in the background. Join a random team and compete against the opposite side to earn rewards!

How It Works

When a seasonal campaign is active, you can participate in the contest at any time. When you join, you're randomly assigned to a team. Once you've been assigned a side, you're locked in for that campaign's duration.

You can participate in one team per seasonal campaign. You cannot change teams once you've joined.

All characters in an account are automatically assigned to the same team.

Earning Points

Both teams are competing to accumulate the most points before the campaign ends. There are two main ways to earn points for your team:

1. Contribute to the Community Goal

  • Every point you donate to the community goal counts as one point for your team's total.
  • This is a direct 1:1 conversion — 100 points donated equals 100 points for your team.

2. Claim Campaign Rewards

  • When you redeem a campaign reward, the point requirement for that tier is automatically added to your team's score.
  • For example, claiming a tier 3 reward worth 400 campaign points contributes 400 points to your team.

3. Participating in the time-limited battles

  • You can participate in time-limited battles to earn points for your team. Learn more.

Contest Battles

During an active battle window, players can interact with other players to earn points for their team. The interaction depends on the type of campaign. For instance, in the Yule Fest campaign, you can throw snowballs.

Each successful snowball hit contributes directly to the team’s overall score.

Snowball fights are only available during specific, short-lived time periods. Any snowballs thrown outside of these active windows will not count toward points.

Battle Rewards

  • Every snowball successfully thrown at an opposing team during an active snowball fight awards 3 points to the player’s team.
  • Throwing snowballs at players on other teams also grants 10 experience toward the campaign-related skill. For example, landing a snowball on an opposing team awards 10 Yule Mastery experience.
  • Each snowball hit during a battle against an opposing team gives a 5% chance of receiving 1 to 5 shards.

To throw a snowball, the following must be true:

  • You must have the seasonal campaign active.
  • You must have interactions enabled.
  • The recipient must have interactions enabled.
  • You must have at least one snowball in your inventory.
  • There is no cooldown active.

TIP

Each interaction requires the relevant item to be present in your inventory. For example, throwing a snowball is only possible if you have snowballs available.

To be ready for the fight, make sure you stock up on snowballs before the battle begins.

Restrictions

  • Players may interact with the same character once every 30 seconds
  • Each character can be interacted with by a maximum of 100 times within a 30-minute period (this applies to all interactions from all players).
  • Players cannot send more than 1 snowball per 5 seconds.

Rewards

Members of the winning team have a 48-hour window after the campaign ends to claim their victory rewards.

Rewards are dependent on the position of your team in the leaderboard.

First

  • 2,500 Shards
  • Temporary Boosts (48 hours):
    • +15% Primary Skill Experience
    • +15% Hunting Experience
    • +10% Hunting Efficiency
    • +10% Magic Find (Battle)
    • +10% Magic Find (World Boss)
    • +10% Magic Find (Dungeon)

Second

  • 1,000 Shards
  • Temporary Boosts (48 hours):
    • +10% Primary Skill Experience
    • +10% Hunting Experience
    • +5% Hunting Efficiency
    • +5% Magic Find (Battle)
    • +5% Magic Find (World Boss)
    • +5% Magic Find (Dungeon)

Third

  • 500 Shards
  • Temporary Boosts (48 hours):
    • +5% Primary Skill Experience
    • +5% Hunting Experience
    • +3% Hunting Efficiency
    • +3% Magic Find (Battle)
    • +3% Magic Find (World Boss)
    • +3% Magic Find (Dungeon)

Rewards expire 48 hours after the campaign ends. Claim them during the reward window, or you'll miss out entirely.

Teams

  • Arvendor - A divine group of people that inhabit The Citadel.
  • Ombric - A deeply misunderstood civilization that dwells in the underworld.
  • The Freebound - A group of free-thinking people not directly associated with any civilization.

Tips for Success

  • Contribute early and often - the more you help your team, the better your chances of winning.
  • Spread the word - encourage your fellow players to join your team and contribute too!
  • Mix your contributions - you don't have to pick one method. Both community goals and campaign rewards help equally.
  • Don't miss the reward window - mark your calendar! The 48 hours after the campaign ends goes quickly.
